Le sigh. I was all too happy to sit front row with the likes of project runway winner Evan Bidell, Mis Style and Jay strut. I'm snap happy.
The neutral and pastel palette was right on trend with fashion week this spring. Colour is out. Unless of course it's red; Keveza's neutral lace and pastel blue confections were punctuated by the odd red dress for kick; cus you know that show goers love a bit of drama. The best part were the details, like the line of crystal buttons down the back of one wedding dress; like a glamorized Miss Mary Mack. Or the subtly pink mermaid trail wedding gown covered in cut outs of tiny flowers from bodice to hem. In closing, Kevez'as S/S 2011 show gets four sigh of longing out of five. I wonder how many brides are looking at a turquoise gown for the trendiest of weddings this season?

backstage with models Sierra (far right) and company @ LG fashion week
The street style for fashion week is unparalleled. Everyone was in towering heels and stop-you-in-your-tracks pieces that they probably wouldn’t wear on the streets if it were just a regular Wednesday. Some of my favourites were the fierce Jay Strut, fashion blogger and party goer extraordinaire. Numi, an adorable fashion student from Ryerson U and I bumped into the gorgeous (and tall!) Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha and her husband backstage. Fashion week is an amazing experience inside and out from backstage to the runways, getting to see it from all sides was a fantastic experience.
